Artist Kellie Oliphant-Burns has created doodledogpaintings.com to help animal lovers celebrate their pets in style. All of her commissions are inspired by clients' favorite photographs and are designed to suit the style of decor in the home. Her pieces are all handpainted from start to finish, hours and hours go into every canvas. With each painting Kellie gives a piece of her soul.
This book called "The First Bark" is a compilation of a few of the dogs she has painted over the last couple of years. Though it is strictly dedicated to the dogs, Kellie also paints horses and cats. This 60 page full colour book will not disappoint!

Areas of Expertise

Formally trained at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. Kellie received her Bachelor of Fine Arts Honours in 1997. She has been an artist and pet lover all of her life and all of this really clicked when she did a painting of her dog Rupert in 2005. Everything snowballed from there and she will be doing this until the day she dies.
