Biography. Born 1947, Wichita Falls TX. Educated at Midwestern State University, University of Texas at Arlington, BA, MS. Physics. Associate Artist, Dorland Mountain Arts Colony. Skills and interests,besides painting, include photography and travel (especially "in the landscape") and classical music. I am particularly interested in the nexus of technology and fine art--using the new tools available to the modern artist while paying homage to the fine art of the past. I am of the opinion that a painting should "abstract" from the scene and leave exact likeness images to photography. My landscapes tend toward abstracts and my abstracts tend toward landscapes or seascapes. Art is an abstraction, but not every abstract is art.
