Laura R. Joseph has devoted over thirty years to her passions of fine art and writing. She received her Fine Arts degree from Otterbein University and did graduate work at Ohio State University. Laura is a member of the National Association of Women Artists and her work is included in the Jane Vorhees Zimmerli Art Museum at Rutgers University. Her work is also archived at the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington, D.C.

Laura has lived in Santa Fe and Grenada in order to pursue her art career, but presently resides with her husband, dog, and cat near a creek in a previously famous abstemious community. This book is one result of her walks with her ever-present walking partner, a now aging Lab/Vizsla mix named, Mika.
