Ona has been painting professionally since 2008.
Her years of experience working with deaf children helped her to develop a strong understanding of how feelings, emotion and knowledge can be communicated visually. She draws on this when creating art, painting in essence, the emotions of life. She loves to use transparent watercolour to build shape, form and create atmosphere.
Colour palette is very important to her in helping to create this ‘soul’ in a painting. She enjoys the subtleties of glazing to build shape and form and develop the colours she feel best convey the atmosphere she is after.
she specializes in portraiture of people and animals but also enjoys painting landscapes, still life and more creative pieces. She has had my work juried into regional, national and international exhibitions and won several awards both nationally and Internationally.
