I got my first camera at the age of twelve, a gift from my father. Both my parents enjoyed photography. My mother had a box camera and took very nice black and white pictures mostly of her family. My father later adopted photography as a hobby and took thousands of slides. After college, I became more seriously interested in photography and my father gave me a Leica and lenses. I enrolled in photography classes at San Francisco State in the art department, learned about developing film, printing in black and white and color and about the history of photography and the various aesthetic approaches to making images.Today I am excited about entering the age of digital photography, have taken numerous photographs at home and abroad and am currently exploring and expanding my photographic interests.
