Things I Don't Mind The World Knowing

Spoiler alert: I'm thinking my next book will be about...
Having (finally) visited America I can see why so much music about escaping where you're from exists. I can understand the desire to be different and to rebel, and from that I can finally see why 'emo' is such a massive phenomenon over there.
I'd love to look at the obsessive fans of this genre, and maybe follow the bands around, to break down the myths of 'emo'.
This book is addictive. Read it. (At your own risk.)
Frederick Exley - A Fan's Notes.
Picked this up because Hunter S. Thompson recommended it. Also wanted to read seriously American books when I was in America. (On The Road??).
Totally addictive and utterly depressing.
Gave my copy to one of the Misfits. Am being sent something similarly intellectual from him.
