My early photos were snapshots of family and friends and references for future paintings. In late 2001, I began to make photographs for their own sake, with digital cameras as my tools and using my background in art and graphic design to help create my images.

Whether in black and white or color, I want my images to show how I see things in my world. The subject matter may be macro, landscape, still life, wildlife or people, but I hope that the rich tones and the manner in which they share the compositional space will evoke emotion from the viewer.

I am inspired by the artists around me.
I am challenged by the desire to improve myself.
I am always a student, seeking to learn, to capture the ordinary and familiar in an extraordinary way
