We, that is my familly got into dairy goats to give us a supply of milk from a small herd of Saanen dairy goats. The children were in 4-H for several years. I continued to raise and show goats even after the children were grown and no longer showing. During this time there was a great oppertunity to learn not only the care of goats but how to show and judge them. Although this story is fiction, there was a Shasta, the only Nubian that we had. She is long gone now but we still remember her fondly..
