......As an artist he is still producing work and actively exhibiting in Australia and overseas. He received his degrees in Art from the Canberra School of Art and the Australian National University Institute of the Arts. His formal training was in printmaking, artist books, drawing and photography. His mentor and tutor was Petr Herel who he credits with developing and refining his practice as an artist. As a printmaker, the innovative nature of his artmaking has been recognised by the Australian print journal Imprint, who have published a number of articles on his work. Gary's works have been exhibited in selected shows at The Australian National LIbrary, Australian Print Council Workshops, Australian National Gallery Drill Hall, Australian Embassy Washington, National Gallery Melbourne, Monash University, Institute d Arts Orleans France, APW Gallery New York and annually at the Digital Fringe in Melbourne.
