About

I have been a photographer for more than fifty years. I attended the Los Angeles Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, and The New School and The School of Visual Arts in New York City, and have studied with such masters as Alfred Eisenstaedt, Ernst Haas and Eliot Porter.

I worked as an assistant to one of the top commercial photographers in New York and ran my own studio before moving to coastal Connecticut. Since then, I have shed the confines of a studio and do most of my work on location utilizing available light.

After spending 20 years in Northern California, I moved to Northern New Mexico in 2013, and work on my own projects, accept assignments, and sell prints.

I strive to create strong graphic images that catch the eye and stand on their own. Whether it's people, places or things, I try to capture the unique essence of my subjects and to create photographs that endure as art as well as moments in time.
