My name is James Groves. I am a freelance photographer, based in Southern California, and frequently traveling throughout the US and abroad. Photography is a lifelong pursuit for me. Starting with my earliest childhood memories, carrying through my school years, combining with my love of aviation with the US Navy, and developing further in over a dozen years of professional experience. I took my first photo class in 1984. I served in the US Navy as a Photographer's Mate where I learned the bulk of my craft and was able to travel throughout Europe. I began studying photographers such as Jeanloup Sieff, Eric Kroll and Dahmane, and thus began shooting pinup and erotic imagery in 1994. |
