Julie McGuire is a British born photographer and winner of a 2014 World Press Photo award. Her passion for the art began in her teenage years and developed into a full time love affair in 2005 when she and her husband ‘outsourced’ themselves to India from New York City.
As an avid dog lover, her interest in their welfare was piqued after seeing the thousands of strays that wander the streets of Asia, and led her to begin a series of photography ‘dogumentaries’ looking at their acceptance and position in different societies around the world.
After nearly nine years in Bangalore, she has recently relocated to the Nurnberg area of Germany with her husband and three dachshunds. She is available for assignments throughout Europe and Asia.
