My Occupation Photographer
My Bio I bought my first SLR camera in the 1980s, and turned instinctively to street photography. I also took numerous photos of riverside sludge! I had no formal training in photography but learned how to use a darkroom through joining a community arts group in Medway.

I now live in Norfolk, where there is a surfeit of landscape. I prefer to focus on the forgotten and overlooked, those footpaths and byways that are not part of the so-called 'areas of outstanding beauty', though I'm drawn to some of the fantastic gardens in the area.

I am also a writer, and in January 2014 I published my debut novel Time Tells (available on Amazon). I am currently working on my second novel.

Things I Don't Mind The World Knowing

Spoiler alert: I'm thinking my next book will be about...
Not sure. Maybe something 'historical' again. Or something to do with memory. I enjoyed compiling 'Names, Faces & Places' but found it quite challenging - what to put in and leave out. But I felt I gained a new relationship with my family through the process.
Everyone needs to know about these authors and artists...
I love Josef Sudek's photos.

And Joseph Cornell's boxes.

And Peter Doig's paintings.
This book is addictive. Read it. (At your own risk.)
This year (2014) I've been reading novels by Patrick Redmond, and I love the creepiness and sense of menace in them.
