Joy was born and raised in Grinnell, Iowa where her family was the pivotal foundation of who she was. Home was her safety net. Love was unconditional. And chores were done on time. As an adult Joy lived in Illinois, Florida, Oregon, Missouri (where she received her BA degree in Psychology at Northwest Missouri University in 1996). She now lives in Washington state. She practices Reiki and Animal Communications while working on her next book..
