I was born in Philadelphia Pennsylvania in 1955. From an early age I was fortunate to have accessibility to see and experience a vast array of artwork. Two of the artists I enjoyed from an early age were Cezanne and Matisse. Upon finishing College in 1978 I moved to France for ten years. Living in Paris, Aix-en-Provence, Vence and finally in a small town on the Cote d’Azur called Eze-sur-Mer.
With the many periods that make ones life this 10-year span has cast it shadow through all of mine. Either photographing models or working in landscape the love of the original two influences subconsciously enter my work and have forever helped me create the narrative I attempt to capture in my work.
