John Delloro has spent over a decade as an organizer and labor leader in the areas of socio-economic justice and immigrant rights and as an instructor in the field of Labor Studies and Asian American Studies. He brings his unique perspective as both a professional organizer and college educator to his writings.
He serves as the Executive Director of the Dolores Huerta Labor Institute, an appointee on the CA Assembly Speaker's Commission on Labor Education, co-founder and board member of the Pilipino Workers Center of Southern California (PWC), member of Legal Advisory Board of the Koreatown Immigrant Workers Alliance (KIWA) and was previously president of the Asian Pacific American Labor Alliance, AFL-CIO, Los Angeles Chapter. He worked as an organizer for different unions in the last dozen years (HERE 226, AFSCME, SEIU 399, SEIU `000) and teaches a class on Asian American leadership development and community strategies at UCLA and various labor studies courses at LATTC.
