About

John Keith has been an avid traveler, cyclist and backpacker for decades. He has traveled to over 70 countries, climbed over 100 peaks, and cycled thousands of miles in the US and abroad. His passion is seeing new places and learning about cultures, along with studying environmental conditions around the globe. His working career has been focused on improving our environment, both as an environmental engineer and corporate environmental executive. In addition to being a writer, John is an accomplished singer, songwriter and photographer, which has helped break the ice with people throughout his travels. John lives with his wife, Cari, at a small “green” home they built in Gardiner, NY, at the base of the Shawangunk Mountains.
