My Occupation Photojournalist
My Bio I was a news photographer and picture editor for seven newspapers, and member of the National Press Photographers Assc. since 1956. A Life Member of the San Francisco Bay Area Press Photographers Association, after being the Picture Editor at The Sacramento (CA) Union (1968-89), New York Newsday (1989-94), and Contra Costa Times (1994-96) when I retired after 40-years in the newspaper business - starting as a shooter since 1956. I'm retired but still shoot and actively travel today for my own interest. The assorted blurb.com books have turned out to be a way to gather many of my images for nice and simple presentations.

Things I Don't Mind The World Knowing

Spoiler alert: I'm thinking my next book will be about...
I'm in the midst of up-grading the "Congressional GUNFIGHTERS of America" as they work towards a film of their western style gun play - no live ammunition, just visual fun and guns.
Everyone needs to know about these authors and artists...
Charles O'Rear - the National Geographic and wine book photographer, go Google or Amazon; David Hume Kennerly, same search engines so far; David Paul Morris, one of the fine San Francisco freelance photographers - who also shoots for Getty images he has a website , so Google him.
This book is addictive. Read it. (At your own risk.)
You want to see what makes a newsphotographer. Days of a "press camera," a Speed Graphic in the 1950's, to the transition in the 60's into the magazine style photographers at LIFE and LOOK magazine, into 2013. With photos of JFK, RFK, and even LBJ in the White House during a special Head Start cover boy movie premiere, showing informal (NO Photo-OPs like today) shots of the President at ease. Chapters with shots of Celebrities, World (travel), & (jet ) Flight. See:www.blurb.com/books/4030829
