JJ’s background is in photography, graphic design, and advertising art direction. He has been making short films since 2006.
His first film, ‘The Falling’, won the Sydney Film Festival Mobile Short Film competition and started him on his way.
His next short, ‘Coming Clean’, was an eight minute short about love and infidelity told with hairs on a bar of soap. It has screened at film festivals around the world and aired on (wait for it...) Russian television.
JJ’s third short film ‘The Pool’ picked up third place in New Zealand’s V48-Hour Film Festival, and was personally selected by Peter Jackson for his own Wildcard award.
He is currently in post-production with his latest short ‘The Mind Job’.
JJ knows people who know people who are famous.
