My Bio
|
I hold an MFA degree from the University of Minnesota, and I have been a college professor for over three decades.
I have participated in workshops with George Tice, Linda Connor, Emmet Gowin and Frank Gohlke. I was an intern at the Chicago Albumen Works, where I assisted with the printing of Eugene Atget albumen prints for the four-part exhibition of his work at the Museum of Modern Art, and also prints of Timothy O'Sullivan for the exhibition of his work at the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
My work is represented by the Barry Singer Gallery in California, and it is housed in many public and private collections, including the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, the Minneapolis Institute of Art, and the Art Museum of Western Virginia.
I have received several grants, including a Minnesota Individual Artists Grant and a McKnight Foundation Grant.
I was a co-producer of a video on Sally Mann (made in the 1980's, currently unavailable).
