Graduated from Stanford, 1960, General Engineering. Four years as an officer in the US Navy, then in various businesses in Portland, Oregon, 1964-1984.
Consulting from 1981-85, then joined International Trade Institute at Portland State University, established statewide program for teaching small businesses how to engage in international trade (1986-93). Established national non-profit for international trade educators (NASBITE), served as Executive Director and President 1988-96, honored in 2004 as the first recipient of the John Otis Lifetime Achievement Award, named for Founder to be given to a NASBITE member for distinguished achievement in international trade education and program development.
