About

I began photography as an outlet and excuse to get out and explore new areas. I learned mainly through trial and tribulation until I decided to take a class at a local community college. Here, I learned even more than I imagined and fell in love with the act of taking a photograph.

I tend to gravitate towards things that are man made or move quickly and don't notice that I'm there - airplanes, bridges, kite boarders, etc. These things have power, are fascinating, and I understand them. Composing and shooting them are pretty simple for me.

However, I have recently developed a love and respect for long exposure photography. There is something to be said when you can watch the world go by, think, and disconnect from the world. The effects are awesome and bring a greater depth to the photograph that you don't find in normal photos.

My first book, "The Value of Time", is a book that encompasses these later elements. Please take a look and feel free to comment.
