I retired in 2014 as pastor for nine years of the United Church of Christ in Simi Valley, CA and after 35 years as an ordained UCC minister. I am a progressive theologian whose focus has been the freeing of Holy Communion liturgies from oppressive medieval imagery that no longer serves us well. In 2002 Pilgrim Press published my book, The Feast of Our Lives: Re-Imagine Communion. My interests lie in educating imagination and helping people find healing and hope for their lives.
