I grew up in Poughkeepsie, New York 100 miles north of NYC. After winning the Charles Burchfield Scholarship for Art I attended Pratt Institute in Brooklyn in 1976. In 1993 I moved to Maine with my wife and two children. I recently completed renovating our attached barn into a bright spacious studio. Here's a review of my art: "Cole's highly graphic, deceptively "untutored" and loopy, folk art or cartoon style...brings a raw humor to the world's aches..."
