Kathleen Chardavoyne is a first-time children's author who created this book to thank the mayor for all he's done for the city and to introduce her children and others to what an incredible leader he is. Formerly a corporate drone, she currently works part-time for Thompson Island Outward Bound Education Center and shares the mayor's commitment to utilizing the Harbor Islands for the benefit of inner-city kids. A life long Bostonian, Kathleen was born and raised in Dorchester and currently lives in Charlestown. She is an unabashed fan of Mayor Menino.
