Kim Manlove is a counselor, supporter, mentor, dreamer, poet, traveler, cook, husband, son, father and even rollerblades.
Kim went into higher education, starting at Indiana University in Bloomington and landing at Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis for 26 years serving as the Assistant Dean in academic administration. In May of 2006 he accepted a position with Fairbanks Treatment facility and is currently serving as Project Director for the Strategic Prevention Framework/State Incentive Grant for State of Indiana Division of Mental Health and Addicition. Since the loss of his youngest son David who died in a drug-related drowning accident, Kim is passionately involved in local and national substance abuse prevention and education. Kim and his wife Marissa have told their story at the National Press Club and have appeared on CBS Morning Show, ABCs Good Morning America and various televisions and radio programs to discuss the dangers of substance abuse.
