My Bio Artist Kimberly Kelly Santini typically focuses her creativity on painting and cooking and art journaling and teaching and dancing badly in front of her easel.

She is best known for her acclaimed daily painting commitment "Painting a Dog a Day," featuring a new pet portrait on a daily basis. Santini also was the 2015 Kentucky Derby artist. She recently has ventured into painting vintage toys and young dancers along with a couple animals each week. 2015 marks the artist's 10th year of daily painting, and her blog continues to provide a candid peek the life of a working mom and artist.

Things I Don't Mind The World Knowing

Spoiler alert: I'm thinking my next book will be about...
I am knee deep in year ten of daily paintings, and trying to balance enthusiasm at my easel with computer/writing time. But I do have another children's book in mind (kitty oriented!). We'll see how loudly it clamors to be let out of my head!

The Swans Thieves by Elizabeth Kostova

This is a most excellent story, multiple threads of plots, woven together masterfully. And every character is an artist who simply wants to be better at their craft.
