The Ivan O. Davis - Liberty Library is a is a non-profit public library serving the towns of Liberty and Montville, Maine. Although we get some funding from the communities, we also do fundraising throughout the year in order to support our collection and programs. Joe Rehmeyer was the Art Wall Coordinator and Plant Sale co-chair for many years, as well as assisting the Library in many other capacities. Joe also loved to hike and take photographs of Lake St. George in Liberty. His daughter and son-in-law compiled these photos in a book as a memorial to Joe who died from cancer on January 8, 2018.

Areas of Expertise

"An Eye for Lake St. George" is a collection of photographs taken by Joe Rehmeyer along Lake St. George in Maine. The walks mostly followed the road beside the southwest corner of the lake past Marshall Shores. These 80 photographs were narrowed down from over 1300. This collection attempts to keep a variety of viewpoints and highlight the changes that take place from season-to-season. Our desire is for you to be able to experience the beauty of the lake as if you were walking it yourself.
