Contemporary artists point out and raise awareness about different issues that affect our planet and our life. Artists with different points of view are adopting attitudes that express their resistance to today´s global dynamics. To do so, they employ a great variety of materials, techniques, and mediums.
For Liliana, “Natural landscapes are not limited to how I depict them, nor to my voice of alert, they are also my tool. They belong to the reality of change, the timeless, and they are subject to random as our own life is. A landscape is that space that we capture nearby, or from a distance. As a whole it is real, but it can be a very abstract image. If we learn how to observe the landscape it becomes our teacher. Only then shall we learn that when we see a flower its beauty does not lie in the adjectives we use, but in the flower itself. We do not judge the flower, we become part of it;and, this is were truth lies.”
