Monte Linebarger, Ed. D. is a lifelong educator; he has 13 years of educational experience. His background includes middle school and high school teacher, coach, online instructor and assistant principal. He was selected as ‘Teacher of the Year’ at Martin Luther King, Jr. High for the Dekalb County School District in 2007. He is currently a full-time assistant principal at Westlawn Middle School in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. In addition, Monte is a local motivational speaker, professional development instructor, and educational consultant. His enthusiasm, Real Talk Approach, and encouraging presentations are the fuel that ignites teachers and students. In addition, Monte has had an incredible amount of success with mentoring African American boys. He took a mentor program with 21 students to a thriving program with 86 students strong in a three year time spann. Monte recently received major news coverage from establishing the first Stop the Violence Summit in the South.
