About

For artist, Jaime Lopez, the phrase ‘art imitates life’ has been a constant theme in his career. His vast body of work is a reflection of his journeys across the globe. Born in Peru, a country, rich in culture and breathtaking landscapes; that experience became a foundation for a lifelong career as a photographer and artist. Jaime, a.k.a. JL Clark, arrived in New York City in 1980 since then his work has been widely published in Elle, Marie Claire, Telva, Hola, GQ, Woman Magazine, Glamour and Cosmopolitan.
Jaime’s expertise in graphic design has produced retrospective books for Marilyn Clark, “Homes of the Hamptons” and “A Life as a Model,” as well as a retrospective book dedicated to his 35 years of photography.
Jaime’s latest body of work, ‘OMINOUScapes,’ is the confluence of beauty and foreboding. “My work may project an ominous message, but my hope is that it evokes a positive action towards ongoing nature preservation and protection.”
Jaime resides in Sagaponack, NY
