About

Born and raised in Israel, educated in Europe and in the United States, Oren Lukatz graduated with a bachelor’s degree in fine arts from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, where he majored in computer arts and new media. He is currently studying for his masters degree in fine arts at the San Francisco Art Institute.
Oren’s work Road Closed Ahead was exhibited at the Diego Rivera Gallery in San Francisco in October 2010 and at the de Young Museum in April 2011 as part of the New Generations Student Showcase, where he won 3rd place. Road Closed Ahead was also exhibited at 111 Minna Gallery in San Francisco on May 6th, 2011.
Oren’s work The Violent Season was exhibited at San Francisco’s City Hall from September 2010 until January 2011 as part of 'Night/Light: Bay Area Photographers Take Aim After Dark' and at Art Chicago 2011.
Oren is the recipient of the 2011 Art Chicago New Insight Exhibition Prize and the 2011 Paul Sack Building Award.
