About

Marina Font was born in Argentina in 1970. She studied design, sculpture, and photography at the Escuela de Artes Visuales Martin Malharro, Mar del Plata, Argentina. In 1996 she moved to Boston and traveled through India as a photographer. She spent the summer of 1998 studying photography at Speos Ecole de la Photographie in Paris, and continued working as a freelance photographer. She earned an MFA in Photography from Barry University, Miami in 2009.
Marina Font has participated in several group shows including "Intimate Spaces" at The Museum of Contemporary Art (MoCA), North Miami, and a curatorial project for the Miami Center for the Photographic Arts. She had her first major Solo Show at the Dina Mitrani Gallery in January/February 2010, wich was reviewed in the Nuevo Herald magazine, Aplausos.
She recently participated in the All Media Juried Biennale at the Art and Culture Center of Hollywood and the Biennial Six, at the Museum of Florida Art . She lives and works in Miami.
