Mark Dauber is a fine art photographer born in 1952 in Birmingham, Alabama. Mr. Dauber began his photographic career in the United States Army in 1971 after graduating from the Signal Corps still photography school where, upon completion of the curriculum, he was asked to join the staff at the school upon graduation, and become an instructor at the age of nineteen. After leaving the Army, photography took a back seat to completing his college education and business career. However, his interest in black and white photography never waned, and in 1992 Mark received his BA degree from the University of Alabama- with a focus in photography.
Mark’s first private show was in his hometown’s new Birmingham Public Library Gallery in 1986. He was selected to produce the inaugural exhibit and garnered high praise from Birmingham News art critic James R. Nelson, who wrote, “With exquisite clarity and sensitivity to nature as his subject, Mark Dauber captures the essence of what he sees”.
