About

Many years ago, I achieved a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Film and Media. My final year film project won best short film and best cinematography at the 1989 Qld Young Film Makers Awards. I’ve always been passionate about cinematography and photography, though it took me moving to a foreign country before I believed I could truly make a living of my passion. In 2002, in Japan, I started a photo blog, and through that outlet the job offers started – unexpectedly – flooding in. Ad agencies in L.A., car magazines in Germany. With the encouragement of family and friends, my photography career naturally evolved through personal passion and serendipity. I worked in Tokyo as a professional photographer, taking commissions from a wide number of different organisations and individual clients. I relocated my photography business to Port Douglas in early 2009, clients include Vogue Australia Entertaining and Food magazine, the Port Douglas and Mossman Gazette newspaper, Events NQ, MAD & many more.
