English teacher and passionate hobby chef and food photographer
Having traveled the world for over 15 years as an English teacher, I ended up in Cyprus where I started Mary's Dinner Club in 2011. It combines my love for networking, cooking and entertaining and allows me to discover new flavors and create new dishes on a regular basis - some of which I am sharing here.
Spoiler alert: I'm thinking my next book will be about...
...party food. Easy to make, tasty party food that everyone can recreate. There's just nothing like a fun party with tasty snacks - the kind your friends will keep on talking about and asking for. Your parties will never be the same!
Everyone needs to know about these authors and artists...
Most of my recipes are tried out on a whim, I like to 'experiment' with food and try not to take cooking too seriously - often greatly simplifying things. I try recipes because I think certain ingredients will 'look pretty' together in a photo, sometimes because I bought certain things 'just to see' without knowing what to do with them, sometimes because a pretty picture on the web inspired me to recreate the beauty.
This book is addictive. Read it. (At your own risk.)
I try to make cooking accessible to everyone. After all I am not a 'real' chef myself. The book mostly includes ideas what you 'could' do with healthy ingredients like chard or quinoa. I aim to give basic guidelines so you can have all the fun without 'getting lost'.
