Mike Berube is a freelance photographer whose aim is to document social issues around the globe. After spending a large part of 2007 abroad, Mike has built a large body of work rooted in Kenya, Africa. His photography and essays have been published in magazines and other publications in Italy, France, North America and Brazil.

He is currently finishing a book entitled The Dead Can Dance. It is a compilation of work from Africa's main slums in Kenya, which have been ravaged by recent election violence. The book will be released July 1st, 2008 by Blurb press.
