Born and raised in the coal fields of southwest Virginia then uprooted to a widespot in the middle of the road in northeast Tennessee at thirteen. At twenty-seven she relocated to Chicago, IL where she finally learned to appreciate the things that she had had her entire life. She's becoming retroactively more southern everyday. Fresh out of graduate school, where she received she MFA in photography at Columbia College Chicago and currently seeking employment in photographic arts and education.
