Michael Putzel is a distinguished journalist who witnessed and wrote about many of the most dramatic events of his generation. He was a war correspondent in Vietnam, covered the Watergate scandal in Washington, worked as a White House correspondent during three presidencies and directed the AP's coverage of the fall of communism from Moscow.
