My Occupation Teacher
My Bio I am a secondary English teacher of twenty year’s experience who lives in East Sussex with my wife and two children. When I am not working, I write short stories and poetry. I recently completed a collection of poems based on Old Testament stories called ‘Ichabod and Other Voices’ and am interested in the way in which the mundane and inconsequential co-exists alongside the deeply profound or historically significant.

Things I Don't Mind The World Knowing

Spoiler alert: I'm thinking my next book will be about...
I am currently reflecting how iconic images from the past resonate with us in our lives and this has led me to think about some big themes. For example, the England 1966 World Cup stamp recalls patriotic sentiments but how are these feelings voiced in contemporaray society, whether that is on the football field or on the streets? Other stamps have similar conceptual associations. Perhaps the next collection of poems will be an album inspired by stamps.
This book is addictive. Read it. (At your own risk.)
Contains poems from 20113-2014
