Ms. François' passion lies in de-coding and effectively using the language of photography to connect people. To this end, she is frequently working on projects that in some configuration involve taking pictures, telling stories and building community.

She has edited another collection of children's writing and photography called, "After Ike: 20 Stories from 20 Galveston Kids" (also through Blurb). Her next project is to work with teens on a book about building healthy relationships.

Ms. François holds an MFA in photography from The University of Texas at Austin. Her work has been internationally published and exhibited since 1989, and is included in numerous collections.

She has taught photography at various institutions in central Texas including the Art School of the Austin Museum of Art, The University of Texas, and Texas State University. She currently lives in Austin and teaches at Austin Community College. She frequently teaches workshops on creativity and visual literacy.
