I am a retired college lecturer who two and a half years ago was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease. Until four years ago I led a very active life cycling, climbing and skiing but now I am confined to a wheelchair and cannot walk at all. I have always had a literary bent and have written proems and short stories for my personal satisfaction. However, now that I have no opportunity to pursue an active outdoor life I have channelled what energies I have into writing.
