Nolan Preece was born in Vernal, Utah in 1947. He received his Master of Fine Arts degree in photography and printmaking at Utah State University in 1980. His work has been included in numerous juried, invitational and solo exhibitions throughout the United States. Preece’s art is in thirty-two permanent collections including the Utah Museum of Fine Arts, Salt Lake City; the Nevada Museum of Art in Reno; the Nora Eccles Harrison Museum of Art, Logan, Utah; the Nicolaysen Museum of Art, Casper, Wyoming; Western Illinois University; the Print Club of Albany, New York and most recently, the Southern Graphics Council Archives in Mississippi. Preece has been published in books and periodicals. He recently retired from full-time galleries curator and art professor at Truckee Meadows Community College in Reno.
