Paul Elter is a painter, sculptor, occasional filmmaker, and irreverent photographer. He is a graduate of Sheridan College in Animation and art educator for 10 years in the Yukon Territory. His artistic practice covers a period of 25 years and he has exhibited throughout Canada and Europe. Ardent advocate of all things pinhole, single lens, toy camera, under and overexposed, hand coloured and most things pre-1979. Creating work that is raw, hand-built, analog in design and construction—it captures joy, the commonplace, the fleeting, and the explicit, while occasionally questioning the human state.
