Pierre Cavalan arrived from Paris, France in 1974,
he worked in the Sydney Jewellery industry for many years.
In 1990, Pierre set up his own studio in Glebe, and started exhibiting his creations Nationally and Internationally.
He received many awards for his creations using various recyclable materials.
Pierre broke new boundaries within the jewellery trade, mixing old and new materials in a baroque style that remains unique to his artistic style.
Major National and International Art Galleries, Museums and private collectors started purchasing his work for their permanent collections.
Pierre’s pieces are in the permanent collection of the PowerHouse Museum,Australian National Gallery .
And most of Australian regional Art Galleries.
