Elizabeth Proffitt began writing poetry at the age of 6 when she wrote her first poem as a gift to her mother. Since then she has fulfilled her passion of writing with notebooks full of poems, snippets, short stories, and such. Photography became another love of hers shortly after the birth of her son. She has grown from a simple point and shoot to a Canon Digital Rebel which she carries with her constantly. Elizabeth's life long dream has been to become a published author. With her first book, The Battle of Sacramento, she has accomplished that goal and plans to publish more books later on. Elizabeth also has her work published at http://stores.lulu.com/photobyliz.
