Heath Ballowe is a printmaker, photographer and draftsman who’s work focuses on the ideal standards of humans and the investigation of why those physical standards exist. He investigates the origins of those expectations by comparing them to landscape, natural history relics, art historical references, literature and the personal recollection of memory.

Heath was born and raised in Bedford County, Virginia, and received his Bachelors in Fine Arts from Virginia Polytechnic Institute (Virginia Tech.) in 2006 with emphasis in painting and photography. In 2010 he received his Masters in Fine Arts in Printmaking from Rhode Island School of design.

Heath Ballowe, currently lives and works in Philadelphia Pennsylvania.
