Roberto was born in 1971 in Legnano where he continues to live and work as shift foreman in a factory that manufactures PVC sheet.
He learned the techniques of photography at an early age from his father, Giancarlo, first on photographic outings and later in the darkroom.

He has participated in and photographed the neo-liberalist movement against globalisation. Over the last four years he has used his “Reflex” to recover lost memories. He goes in search of abandoned places – factories, churches, hospitals, houses, prisons – then, he scales the walls to enter these forgotten worlds.
