M Sarki was born in East Tawas, Michigan in 1953. Besides being a poet with four collections published, Sarki is a painter and photographer. He likes fine coffee and long walks, as well as his good woman. His screenplay Alphonso Bow was produced by Nut Bucket Films. There are others in the works. There is some talk about a play. And more poems. And food perhaps. Anything creative goes, but quite less stays.
M Sarki has written, directed, and produced six short films titled Gnoman's Bois de Rose, Biscuits and Striola , The Tools of Migrant Hunters, My Father's Kitchen, GL and Cropped Out 2010. More details to follow. Also the author of the feature film screenplay, Alphonso Bow.
Spoiler alert: I'm thinking my next book will be about...
Everyone needs to know about these authors and artists...
Gordon Lish, Jack Gilbert, Robert Maxwell, Evelyn Hofer, Imogen Cunningham, Harry Callahan, Jock Sturges, Samuel Beckett, Eugenio Montale, Jack Yeats, Chaim Soutine, Giorgio Agamben, Gilles Deleuze, Alphonso Lingis, David Foster Wallace, and Alice Neel.
This book is addictive. Read it. (At your own risk.)
Disturbances, political incorrectness, and much too much reality make for an interesting read and comforting rant for those so inclined to think the herd does not have it right. Giorgio Agamben says, "God wants gods." This collection is the Diary of the Modern God. Enjoy.
