About

I take photographs in an attempt to stop time--to catch the light, to slow or even halt the movement, to preserve the objects, to memorialize the people, to savor the landscape in front of me. Twenty-first century technology has given me more tools than I could ever fully exploit. My job is simply to push the buttons at a moment that I have decided is the "right" one. Part of the wonder and delight has been the discovery that pixels are essentially free; I can spend them recklessly, or with the utmost care.
My passion has not waned over time, even if it has taken different forms. The "digital revolution" has vastly expanded the possibilities of the photographic universe. One is limited only by imagination and perserverance. It is a wonderful time to be a maker of images.
